Client Engagement with Eventide
Watch Party
Invite clients/prospects to your office or another location to watch and have a discussion on one of Eventide’s professionally-produced videos (see options below). Provide a light meal or appetizers.
Our thoughts: Easy, inexpensive, and intimate, this option nonetheless provides one of the greatest benefits of a client engagement for 100% of attendees: building a relationship and having a conversation on a topic of importance. You can do it as often as you want, without having to work around anyone’s schedule but your own. That said, if scheduling allows, your Eventide representative can be present to co-host your watch party.
{Note: For a digital version of a watch party, check out the “email campaign” option on our digital marketing page.}
Watch Party
This is your traditional meal + presentation given by an Eventide team member. You’ll need a screen (TV or projector) that everyone can see, and occasionally, larger events may also call for a microphone and speaker.
Our thoughts: Dinner presentations are a classic choice, and lunches or breakfasts can be particularly great for connecting with retired clientele.
Watch Party
A Jeffersonian dinner is one in which everyone around the table is engaged in the same conversation–one speaker at a time, no side conversations. In Eventide’s take on this classic format, we provide a video that guides the conversation, helping guests identify and tell a short story about at least one way that their values intersect with the world of business and investing. A member of the Eventide team will be present to co-host with you.
Our thoughts: For this event, we provide a variety of supporting materials to help you and your guests enjoy a memorable and impactful evening. Your guests leave equipped with stories they will be able to share again and again, highlighting personal reasons they believe values-based investing matters.

Watch Party
Meet with your Eventide team to decide on date, time, presentation, hosting logistics, etc. (We are frequently able to host on our zoom and provide a registration page.) We will provide you with the deck, graphics, and some assistance with your invitation strategy. You’ll spend several weeks sending emails, making phone calls, etc. to get people registered for the webinar. After the webinar, if we hosted, we can send you a list of everyone who attended.
Our thoughts: Interest in webinars has waned dramatically since early 2020. At this point we really only recommend webinars in particular cases, such as advisors who already have a regular cadence of well-attended webinars. For most advisors wanting to host a webinar, a lighter lift and higher output option may be a watch party and/or email campaign.

Three Dimensions of Values-Based Investing
10-min video or 25-min presentation
This presentation answers the first two questions that many people have upon learning about the existence of values-based investing: How do you do it? And, how does it perform? It is designed to make values-based investing feel approachable and connected to our own lives by starting with the personal story of a real investor. This young man lost his grandmother early to lung cancer, and years later, to his shock and disappointment, inherited from her a trust that profited largely from the tobacco that killed her. As a young father, his first child died of an incurable disease–but investments in research and development saved the life of his third child, who was also born with the disease.
This personal story introduces two of the three main ways we can shape our portfolios in accordance with our values: avoiding companies that cause harm, and investing in companies that create value for others. The third approach, engaging with companies on issues of importance, is shared through another real story from the Eventide portfolio. The topic then shifts to performance, and how avoid, embrace and engage may affect the financial outcomes of one’s portfolio.

Timeless Truths for Investing
35-min video or 45-min presentation
This presentation walks clients and prospects through basic ideas and principles of investing, gathered from 150+ years of market history. It can serve equally well as an introduction for newer investors (and a way to help you connect with your clients’ adult children and grandchildren), or as a timely reminder when helping clients navigate turbulent waters.
By ending on the reminder that investors invest in companies, not “the market,” this presentation can also be used as a gentle invitation to clients to consider what kinds of companies they want to own, and to thereby introduce concepts in values-based investing.

Investing that Makes the World Rejoice
20-min presentation
This presentation serves as an introduction to Eventide. It starts with the same personal story introducing valuesbased investing as in the Three Dimensions presentation. It then goes on to show how Eventide’s Business 360® process incorporates these approaches while looking at a company’s interactions with six major stakeholders (customers, employees, suppliers, host communities, the environment, and society).
The Power of Investing to Change the World
40-min presentation
This presentation can be roughly divided into two parts: a historical look at how investors in the past have helped to shape the world we live in today, and three contemporary examples of opportunities that we as investors today have to shape the future.
